Hey Dom. Your documentary was very focused and was easy to follow. Your three areas of focus each had two examples that clearly illustrated their thesis. Excellent use of film language, such as describing the shots and lighting. Great job
Good Job Dom. You did well in exploring a question that was relevant to the auteur theory. However I feel that during your breakdown of the two movies, the presence of a psychological disorders could have been relevant. But you did tie it all together in the end, and I thought that made it pretty strong. The films you brought in definitely did tie in with your question, but possibly consider Kubrick's other films and even small hints of psychological disorders in those. The structure was pretty straightforward, but there could be more development in bringing in your examples, like mis en scene and such, back to the portrayal of psychological disorders in kubrick's films. Overall, good job. Sorry for being so late LOL.
Hi Dom! I loved your documentary. You had a focus point, and you stayed with it. I didn't know much regarding the auteur theory before this, so the way you explored Kubrick was easy for me to follow. However, I think with the examples you had, you could have utilized more film language and film examples since you focused a lot on the shots and lighting. Overall though, great job!
